The packaging system developed for Glorious was recognized with Best Packaging at the GDUSA American Graphic Design Awards 2024.
Every recognition tells part of a story. For Studio Picante, the American Graphic Design Awards 2024 marked one of the earliest international acknowledgements of our approach to packaging design. Our work for Glorious, the Texas-based gaming peripherals brand, received Best Packaging at the 61st American Graphic Design Awards, presented by GDUSA Magazine.
For more than six decades, the American Graphic Design Awards have recognized outstanding work in branding, packaging, advertising, publishing, digital media, and graphic design. Organized by Graphic Design USA (GDUSA), the competition celebrates creative excellence across thousands of submissions from agencies, studios, in-house teams, and independent designers throughout the industry.
The award recognized a packaging system developed during our collaboration with Glorious, a brand known for designing high-performance gaming keyboards, mice, switches, and accessories. As the product portfolio expanded, the challenge extended far beyond designing individual boxes. The goal was to build a cohesive packaging language capable of unifying dozens of products while allowing each one to communicate its own purpose clearly and confidently.
The solution embraced a clean, premium aesthetic that broke away from many of the visual conventions of gaming packaging. Strong typography, disciplined layouts, clear product photography, and a scalable design system created consistency across the entire lineup without sacrificing personality. Whether introducing an entry-level product or a flagship release, every package became part of a single visual ecosystem.
Receiving Best Packaging became an important milestone, not simply because of the award itself, but because it reinforced a principle that continues to define Studio Picante's work today: great packaging is never just a box. It's often the first physical interaction someone has with a brand, shaping perception before the product is even opened.
Looking back, this recognition marked the beginning of a journey that would later continue with honors such as the Pentawards shortlist. More importantly, it strengthened our belief that thoughtful systems, strategic thinking, and meticulous attention to detail can create packaging that performs as beautifully as the products it protects.

We are proud to share that our packaging work for Glorious has been shortlisted at the Pentawards 2025.

The Riders Sports identity has been shortlisted in the Communication Arts 2026 Design Competition.
